Three tiers of premium candle packaging
Light luxury — the everyday premium
A wrapped rigid box with one accent finish — usually gold foil on the logo — and an EVA or moulded-pulp cradle. This tier carries most DTC premium lines: it reads as a gift, holds the cup safely, and keeps the per-unit cost in the range where the box is a brand asset, not a tax.
Premium — the boutique shelf tier
Heavier board, a combination finish (foil plus emboss, or soft-touch lamination plus spot-UV), and a lined interior. This is the tier for boutique retail and concept stores, where the pack competes for attention on a shelf of competitors.
Limited edition — the collector tier
Specialty substrates (holographic board, textured art paper), multi-process finishes and structural details like ribbon pulls or magnetic closures. Built for seasonal drops and collector sets — the box is part of what is being bought.

Board and thickness selection
- Board: 1.5–2.5 mm greyboard wrapped in art or specialty paper; heavier board for the premium tier where the “weight” is part of the message.
- Insert: EVA for standard cups, moulded pulp where recyclability is the priority, velvet-lined trays for collector sets.
- Print: offset from 3,000+ units; digital for short runs and seasonal tests — both with Pantone matching and a pre-production sample on the real substrate.
- Certification: FSC-ready substrates, soy-ink printing, PPWR-ready positioning for EU shipments.
